Ravindra Singh
Ravindra Singh is a Senior Principal, Distribution Automation with NRECA’s Business and Technology Strategies department. He is part of NRECA’s integrated grid team, with a focus on helping electric cooperatives navigate emerging technologies and grid modernization. Ravindra has several years of experience in the areas of distribution automation, ADMS, renewable integration, DERMS, cyber-security of power systems, and microgrids. Prior to joining NRECA, he worked with Argonne National Laboratory where he led several DOE funded projects in distribution grid related areas. Prior to that, he was with Honeywell and ABB Corporate Research Center, where he was involved in key projects such as the development of DMS training simulator, condition-based protection and control of distribution networks, domain-based cyber-security of digital substations and development of microgrid management functions.
Ravindra is also active in professional activities. He is a chair of IEEE working group on distribution system state estimation co-chair of IEEE Task Force on Digital Twin of Large-Scale Power System, member of the steering committee of IEEE Electrification Magazine and serves as an editor of IEEE transactions on power systems and IEEE Access journals. He received the Bachelor of Technology degree in electrical engineering from HBTI, Kanpur, India; Master of Science (Engineering) degree from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India; and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Imperial College London, London, U.K.
